Join students, faculty and staff at the University of Tennessee as we collaborate to reduce the amount of waste produced on our campus, conserve our resources, and develop healthier habits within our community.
By signing this pledge to reduce waste, you are making a promise to Vols everywhere – past, present, and especially future – that you are going take the first steps in building a more sustainable future, for yourself and for the University of Tennessee.
In 2014, I pledge to implement the following steps before throwing anything in the trash:
- Refuse what I do not need.
- Reduce what I do need.
- Reuse what I consume.
- Recycle what I can not refuse, reduce or reuse.
- Rot, compost the rest.
