Join UT Recycling as a volunteer in Game Day Recycling efforts at the UT vs. Missouri game.
3:00 pm – 6:00 pm

After the game, volunteers will sweep through the bleachers, separating recyclables from compostables.

Ongoing Point Opportunities
You must fill out the Report Your Points form every time you complete one of the following:
Student Organization Programs/DIY Workshops | 60 points + 3 points per attendee
Organization-hosted programs and DIY workshops will receive 60 points per program plus 3 points per attendee. These programs are meant to be interactive and responsive to promote the “5Rs” of waste reduction.
Bulletin Boards | 15 points each
Students can reserve bulletin boards at the University Center. Bulletin boards are each worth 15 points. Bulletin boards must be educational and detailed so have fun and get creative! Examples: “5Rs” of Waste Reduction, Waste Watchers, and ABCs of Simplifying Your Stuff.
Alternative Promotions | 10 points each
To reduce the single-use paper waste produced on our campus, we ask that you explore alternate ways to distribute information to the student body during RecycleMania. Alternative promotions can include utilizing social media outlets, reusing paper and other materials, writing on mirrors, etc. Alternative promotions are not meant to solely promote RecycleMania, but to provide educational information for students. Examples: FB and Twitter posts/shares, instagram photos, Pinterest boards
‘Like’ on Facebook or Follow on Twitter | 5 points each
Organization members can ‘Like’ UT Recycling on Facebook, and Follow @UTRecycling on Twitter for 5 points each. In order to receive these points, individuals will need to fill out the Report Your Points form, and in the description, they must write the name they go by on Facebook if it differs from their first and last name. Your team will not receive points for ‘Likes’ or Follows that aren’t reported. (Updated 2/13)

Mug Shots | 5 points each
In an effort to promote The Mug Project, UT Recycling wants to see students around campus in Mug Shots. Capture Mug Shots by photographing members of your organization that are using or carrying a reusable mug or bottle. Once you sign up for a RecycleMania Team, UT Recycling will provide you with a Mug Shot template. Each Mug Shot will be worth 5 points but we are setting a limit of 125 points for this program.
Reporting: Report Your Points | Mug Shot photos must be sent to Bea at email@example.com or create an online album (FB, Flickr, etc) and send us the link! You will not receive 5 extra points per photo, but you won’t receive any points if you don’t send in a photo.
‘5R’ Pinterest Board | 60 – 80 points
Develop a Pinterest page for your organization, then create a 5R Pinterest board that includes DIYs and helpful tips on how to live simply. You will earn 60 points for creating your board, 10 points will be added to your Alternative Promotions score, and you can earn an additional 20 points for following UT Recycling’s Pinterest.
