Earth Month

April is a time of celebration at the University of Tennessee. It marks the beginning of spring and the ending of another school year. It also marks Earth Month. Earth Month has become an important tradition at UT, one in which students, staff, faculty, and the greater Knoxville community have the opportunity to come together and share their passion for the environment through a variety of activities, programs, and events coordinated by the Office of Sustainability.

Throughout the month, the UT community engages in environmental forums, sustainability fairs and networking events, bike-in movies, environmental service and tours of some of the sustainability hot spots on campus and in the greater Knoxville community. Additionally, selected individuals who actively work to make UT a greener place, are honored at the Environmental Leadership Awards.
